Lions Brain

Art drawn from the thinking mind

Layered paintings and prints that map the brain's inner landscape — pattern recognition, memory loops, and the quiet hum of imagination made visible.

About the project

Lions Brain began as a series of ink studies of the lion's mane mushroom — a species linked to nerve-growth research — and evolved into a broader inquiry into cognition as visual subject. Each work starts with a scientific reference and ends somewhere more personal: a diagram turned portrait, a circuit become forest.

Works and process

The studio produces limited-edition risograph prints, original paintings on paper, and occasional artist books. Process notes published here document material choices, failures, and the slow decisions behind each piece. The work is available directly; no gallery markup.
